It includes any necessary movement, administrative preparations, and the giving of orders to your team as to what exactly they are to do, and how to do it. It puts everyone in the picture, and culminates with the Crossing of the Start Line. What happens next, the ADVANCE TO CONTACT phase deals with what you encounter then, and how to adapt appropriately to achieve your objective. It is the subject of the next course.
